About Us

Meet Attack Zone

We are a hockey family. Always have been. Attack Zone Hockey Training Centre is the result of marrying the two: a love for hockey and the people born for it. We also wanted to fill a gap we see for families like us; a place to practice, hone skills, and grow the love of sport for all.

Hockey has been a part of our lives since we were little, from playing, coaching and training there have been many days spent at the rink. We dreamt about opening OUR OWN facility, and after a long road of research, product sourcing and finding just the right location, our dream is finally a reality.

We are excited to open a facility where we can bring a large-scale synthetic ice rink, along with cutting-edge shooting and stick handling training machines together for athletes of all ages to train and develop. With proven products, state-of-the-art training equipment, and a lot of personal passion, we offer a functional and accessible hockey training centre for all.

Now we open our doors for you, the Alberta family, to join us in this journey!

The CAN-ICE Advantage

Attack Zone Hockey Training Centre is excited to offer a large-scale, indoor rink using CAN-ICE;  a synthetic ice surface that looks, feels and performs just like real ice. Endorsed by Hockey Canada, CAN-ICE synthetic ice is perfect for any skater looking to be the best they can be, and have fun doing it. A primary goal of CAN-ICE is to provide greater and easier access to ice time for skill development.

How does the puck respond? NHL players after using the CAN-ICE surface report that skating response is 85% that of fresh ice and 95-100% on puck response. We find that CAN-ICE is an excellent surface for introduction to skating for newcomers as it is simulates ice but accepts the novice as they learn while eliminating the concerns of cold, wet and abrasive ice.

Unlike other synthetic ice products CAN-ICE does not dull skate blades prematurely.  Our user experience to date is that skate sharpening is similar to that of real ice and the preferences of the individual player as to sharpening frequency and radius.

CAN-ICE is the number one choice for the world's best training centers, including the Enterprise Center for the Stanley Cup Champs St. Louis Blues.
